PEP Nurturing School Readiness Event

Public Education Partners hosted a back-to-school professional development event targeted at Aiken County 4K teachers. Organized by PEP board members Diana Matthews Floyd and Linda Strojan, the event, hosted at Aiken Technical College, included training and discussion on the topics of data interpretation, best practices in the pre-k classroom, and purposeful play. Speakers at the event included Tina Shaw from the SC Department of Education Office of Assessment and Paige Leopard, the Director of Early Learning at Aiken County Public School District.

$50 gift cards were raffled off to teachers in attendance. Early Literacy Support is a main mission of PEP Aiken.
